Some important things to know before you plan your visit to Seattle:
- While we will do our best to make your visit a pleasant one, we are unable, at this time, to provide for food and lodging while in Seattle. The community does maintain an apartment called “The Eruv Inn”, which is available on a first come, first served basis. You must contact Nancy Swigard at 206-722-9002 in advance for information. If it is unavailable, you will need to discuss hotel options with your driver.
- Please submit the following information at least two business days prior to your visit.
*Current original letters (dated within 12 months) identifying you and your needs from respected Rabbanim, Institutions, and/or other Vaadim.
*Information about your organization and/or personal need (brochures, doctors’ notes, etc.)
*If you are representing an organization, we require current (dated within 12 months) and original appropriate organizational letters authorizing you to collect on behalf of the organizations or causes.
*Current government issued photo identification (passport, identity card, etc.), in your name
- All required documents must be in English.
- If you do not submit the above information ahead of time, the Va’ad reserves the right to delay issuing the certificate until references can be checked.
- The charge for a teudah/certificate is $30.
- You must make an appointment with the Vaad to receive a teudah/certificate.
- Please be aware that the Va’ad does not have lists of potential donors, addresses, or information about how much others have collected in the past. Your driver may have that information for you.
(- This goes without saying…it is expected that the mishulach will always behave with proper derech eretz.)
